DJI are the market leaders in consumer drones. bd eye aerial solely use DJI equipment which all use the same app and software,  meaning that the pilot doesn’t get confused switching between different platforms and controls.

bd eye aerial use a Phantom 3 Advanced fitted with a 2.7k camera, a Phantom 4 fitted with a 4k camera and a DJI Inspire 1 fitted with a 4k camera.

All these drones use GPS (America’s Global Positioning System) and GLONASS (Globalnaya Navigazionnaya Sputnikovaya Sistema, or Russia’s Global Navigation Satellite System). This means that the Aircraft are picking up twice as many satellites and can get a better ‘fix’ on their position. To get smoother footage sometimes, GPS and GLONASS can be turned off, and the Aircraft can be turned  into ATTI mode. This enables the pilot to take full control, and get one continuous shot without the brakes being put on by a positioning system. This is also invaluable if the Aircraft develops a fault in GPS and the Pilot has to take control in ATTI mode to retrieve her.

Lightbridge provides the link between the Aircraft and the Pilot ensuring he is capable of seeing what the Aircraft sees with just a latency of just 220ms, making that perfect shot easier. In the case of the DJI Inspire, this can also be relayed to a HD monitor by means of a HDMI lead, so the client can also see the action and make decisions there and then, saving time, on what they would like.
